Medicare Open Enrollment in Kansas runs October 15 through December 7, 2026, and changes take effect January 1, 2027. Direct Primary Care isn’t a Medicare plan, so it isn’t something you pick during Open Enrollment. It’s a separate monthly membership for primary care that works alongside whichever Medicare coverage you choose.

Medicare Open Enrollment, also called the Annual Enrollment Period, runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. Your plan must receive the request by December 7. Coverage you choose in that window starts January 1, 2027. Dates and allowed changes are on Medicare.gov Open Enrollment.
During this window you can:
Start with the Annual Notice of Change your plan mailed. That letter is the 2027 version of the plan you already have: doctors, drugs, premiums, and rules. Costs and benefits can change even if you keep the same plan name.
Compare other 2027 options on the Medicare Plan Finder. If you want a change for January 1, the plan has to receive the request by December 7. If you’re happy with the plan you have, you don’t need to do anything.
People already in a Medicare Advantage plan get a later window. Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment runs January 1 through March 31, 2027. Medicare.gov explains that later window.
For plan-by-plan help, Kansas SHICK counselors answer Medicare questions at 1-800-860-5260. We’re glad to talk through primary care, and SHICK is the right call for choosing a plan. See what SHICK is.

If you add Direct Primary Care during Medicare Open Enrollment, you keep your Medicare, and the membership is a separate monthly payment to a clinic like Integrity Medicine. Dr. Fager cares for quite a few Medicare patients at our Andover clinic and says the two pair well. She sees fewer and fewer local physicians accepting new Medicare patients, so even finding and establishing with a doctor can be hard on Medicare.
Medicare.gov lists membership fees for concierge and direct-care arrangements as not covered, so you’d pay the membership to Integrity Medicine directly while Medicare continues to cover your hospital and specialist care. Because the membership is paid directly, we don’t bill Medicare for the primary care it includes.
Over 85% of Integrity Medicine patients keep Medicare or other coverage for the hospital, specialists, and other care outside the membership. We explain how the two work together the rest of the year on our Medicare and Direct Primary Care page.

Medicare Open Enrollment is when a Kansas beneficiary can change Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage, and that choice changes whether a Direct Primary Care doctor can be the plan’s primary care physician.
| Coverage | What it is | What this means for Direct Primary Care |
|---|---|---|
| Original Medicare | Federal Part A and Part B | You can usually keep the primary care doctor you choose. |
| Medicare Advantage | A private plan that includes Part A and Part B, often with a network | Many HMO plans assign an in-network primary care physician. A Direct Primary Care doctor who does not bill that plan is usually not that assigned primary care physician. |
Check the Annual Notice of Change, the plan’s provider directory, the Medicare Plan Finder, or SHICK at 1-800-860-5260 before December 7, 2026.

The clinic is at 338 S. Andover Road, Suite 200, Andover, KS 67002, and you can call us at 316.202.9990. Patients come from Andover, Butler County, and east Wichita. Clinic details are on Direct Primary Care in Andover.
Ages 65 to 99 pay $100 per month, and ages 100 and older pay $1 per month. There’s no enrollment fee, and membership is month to month. The rate is on our pricing page.
Dr. Anna Cleland-Leighton is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. She’s welcoming new patients, has a special interest in geriatric medicine, and lives in Andover. Dr. Jaimie Fager leads the Andover clinic and continues caring for her current patients.
The membership covers unlimited primary-care office visits at the practice. Visits are booked for 30 minutes, and members who are sick are usually seen the same day or next day. The generic medications we dispense in the office tend to cost quite a bit less than what many patients pay through Medicare drug coverage. And for several of our Medicare patients, those savings can cover the whole membership. Your savings will depend on the medications you take.
We’d love to meet you. Schedule a free meet-and-greet at contact us or by calling 316.202.9990.

If you’re also considering Direct Primary Care, settle your Medicare plan choice first, before Open Enrollment ends on December 7, 2026.

Medicare doesn’t cover the Direct Primary Care membership fee, so members pay it directly to us. Because of that, we don’t bill Medicare for the primary care included in your membership.
You can join, and you keep your Medicare. Medicare stays in place for hospital and specialist care, and a separate monthly membership covers your primary care with us.
You keep Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage, and the membership adds primary care with your own physician.
From October 15 through December 7, 2026, you can switch Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage, change Advantage plans, and change Part D coverage. Changes take effect January 1, 2027.
Many Medicare Advantage HMO plans assign an in-network primary care physician, so a Direct Primary Care doctor who doesn’t bill the plan usually isn’t your assigned physician, though you keep your plan for everything it covers. Your plan, Medicare.gov, or a SHICK counselor can help you check before December 7.
Integrity Medicine’s rate for ages 65 to 99 is $100 per month, and ages 100 and older pay $1 per month. There’s no enrollment fee.
If you’d like to talk it through in person, we’d love to meet you. Call our Andover clinic at 316.202.9990 to set up a free meet-and-greet.
