Well Woman Exams in Andover, KS

A yearly check on your whole health

A well woman exam checks your whole health once a year. It covers cancer screening and conditions that become more common with age. The visit combines your health history, a physical exam, and time to plan next steps for your body.

At our Andover clinic, this exam comes with your monthly Direct Primary Care membership. There is no copay. You do not need to bill insurance.

Care that fits your stage of life

Your needs change over time. An exam at 24 looks different from one at 58. The visit adapts to your age, your history, and your specific risks.

A woman setting a baseline receives one kind of visit. A woman managing menopause receives another. Both receive a physician's full attention.

Why these exams matter

Most issues these visits catch cause no symptoms at first. Regular exams find problems while they remain easy to treat.

Screening catches problems early

Routine Pap testing has driven a 70 percent drop in cervical cancer cases and deaths in places with established screening programs. Breast exams and mammogram referrals help catch cancer at stages when treatment works well.

Screening goes beyond reproductive health

Your visit checks for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, and bone loss. Finding these changes early protects your long-term health.

The visit matches your life stage

Planning a pregnancy, choosing birth control, or navigating menopause each requires its own conversation. Your physician tailors the visit to where you are right now.

You receive practical guidance

You get clear advice on contraception, family planning, menopause, and managing known family risks. The guidance fits your actual life.

How the exam works

The process has four parts. Everything centers on your complete health picture.

Step 1:

Review your history

We begin with a conversation. You share your medical history, family history, gynecologic details, and sexual health. This information guides which screenings we recommend.

Step 2:

Check vitals and do the physical exam

Your physician measures blood pressure and BMI. She listens to your heart and lungs. She checks your thyroid and skin. These readings create your baseline and reveal issues without obvious symptoms.

Step 3:

Complete needed screenings and tests

You receive the screenings that match your age and risks. These could include a Pap smear, HPV testing, a clinical breast exam, and referrals for mammograms or colorectal screening. We add STI testing when it fits your situation.

Step 4:

Review results and plan next steps

Your physician explains your results. She answers your questions. Together you set a plan for the coming year. Any needed follow-up gets scheduled before you leave.

How we approach care at Integrity Medicine

Most annual exams follow a strict schedule. At our clinic, the visit lasts as long as your health needs require that day.

Full attention during your exam

We leave our phones outside the room during exams. You should not have to watch your doctor glance at a screen while they should be listening to you.

Care that responds when you need it

When a member lets us know a UTI may be starting, she can stop by, leave a urine sample, and leave with an antibiotic the same day if needed. No appointment is required.

Time focused on you, not billing codes

Your exam takes the time your health requires. It does not stop when a billing code says it should.

Screenings scheduled around your health

Insurance often covers a screening mammogram only once every 365 days plus one day. Claims can be denied for early visits. We schedule screenings based on your health needs instead of an insurer's calendar.
